ASUN All-Conference DB Transfers To San Diego

Former Eastern Kentucky defensive back Matthew Ballentine announced his commitment to San Diego. He will have one year of eligibility remaining for the Toreros. 

Ballentine played one season at Eastern Kentucky and saw action in all 12 games with six starts. He finished the season with 24 total tackles, two interceptions, and six pass breakups. He earned third-team ASUN All-Conference honors from Phil Steele.

Ballentine played three seasons at the College of the Canyons and totaled 15 tackles with three pass breakups. 



JUCO DL Isaiah Oduro Commits To Monmouth

Lackawanna College defensive lineman Isaiah Oduro announced his commitment to Monmouth. He will have two years of eligibility remaining for the Hawks. 

Oduro saw action in 19 games over two seasons for the Falcons. He finished his junior college career with 37 total tackles, 12.5 tackles for loss, four sacks, and one forced fumble. 

He set a career-high with seven tackles against Snow College last season. Oduro helped lead Lackawanna to the HF Sinclair Wool Bowl in 2022.



Maine All-Conference TE Enters Transfer Portal

Maine tight end Shawn Bowman announced his entry into the transfer portal on Wednesday. He will have one year of eligibility remaining as a graduate transfer. 

Bowman earned third-team All-CAA honors in back-to-back seasons. He was named to the Phil Steele FCS Freshman All-American team in 2019. Over four seasons at Maine, Bowman totaled 86 receptions for 960 receiving yards and 11 touchdowns. 

Bowman announced offers from Mississippi State and Rutgers after entering the portal. 



NAIA DL Chauncey Mays Commits To North Alabama

Former Marian defensive lineman Chauncey Mays announced his commitment to North Alabama. He will have one year of eligibility remaining as a graduate transfer for the Lions.

Mays was named an All-MSFA honorable mention last season. He appeared in 38 games with 20 starts over four seasons with the Knights. He accounted for 62 total tackles, 17 tackles for loss, 10.5 sacks, four pass breakups, and five quarterback hurries. 

Mays signed with Marian out of Lawrence North High School in 2018. He was named the Defensive MVP as a senior and was a three-year varsity starter.
