Former All-Ivy WR Transfers To Missouri State

Former Dartmouth wide receiver Jamal Cooney announced his commitment to Missouri State. He will have two years of eligibility remaining for the Bears. 

Cooney earned first-team All-Ivy honors from Phil Steele and was an All-Ivy honorable mention in 2021. He was named the Ivy League Special Teams Player of the Week after returning three punts for 128 yards against Sacred Heart. Over three seasons, Cooney totaled 31 receptions, 368 receiving yards, 322 return yards, and averaged 11.9 yards per reception. 

Cooney signed with Dartmouth out of St. Thomas Aquinas in 2019. He earned second-team All-Broward honors as a senior and was an All-Broward selection in track & field. He finished his senior season with 24 receptions for 208 receiving yards and seven touchdowns. 



Former 3-Star Toledo LB Signs With Stony Brook

Former Toledo linebacker Derell Bedingfield Jr. has signed with Stony Brook. He will have four years of eligibility remaining for the Seawolves. 

Bedingfield redshirted last season as a true freshman. He saw action in one game against UMass and finished the game with one tackle. He signed with Toledo out of Garfield Heights, Ohio in the class of 2022.

Bedingfield was a three-star prospect and ranked as the No. 66 player in Ohio. He earned first-team All-Ohio honors after finishing his senior season with 94 total tackles and eight sacks. He earned third-team All-Ohio and first-team All-District honors as a junior. 



West Florida DL Michael Police Commits To Towson

Former West Florida defensive lineman Michael Police announced his commitment to Towson. He will have one year of eligibility remaining as a graduate transfer for the Tigers.

Police saw action in 16 games over two seasons at West Florida. He finished his career with 15 total tackles, one tackle for loss, and one sack from the nose guard position. He transferred to West Florida after playing one season at Navarro College. 

Police played under new Towson head coach Pete Shinnick at West Florida. The Argonauts won back-to-back conference championships in 2021-22.

North Carolina A&T Lands Legacy RB Jailen Hicks

North Carolina A&T landed a commitment from Dudley High School running back Jailen Hicks. He held offers from Colorado State, Northern Illinois, and Tulsa before committing to the Aggies. 

Hicks earned All-Conference honors and All-Ameican honors in track & field. He finished his senior season with 1,032 rushing yards, 10 touchdowns, and averaged 10.4 yards per carry. 

Hicks is the son of Maurice Hicks, who played running back at North Carolina A&T and earned third-team All-American honors his senior season. Maurice finished his career as the all-time leading rusher in school history with 2,812 rushing yards.
