Kamari Stephens Announces Return To FAMU

Florida A&M defensive lineman Kamari Stephens announced his return to Florida A&M. He decided to explore his options in the transfer portal earlier this spring. 

Stephens received multiple FBS offers from UCF, UAB, North Texas, Western Kentucky, and Jacksonville State before announcing his return to Florida A&M.

Stephens earned SWAC first-team All-Conference honors last season. He had a breakout season in 2022 with 12.5 tackles loss and 10 sacks with four forced fumbles. Stephens led the conference in sacks and finished top-10 in tackles for loss last season. 



AAMU RB Gary Quarles Jr. Transfers To Southern

Former Alabama A&M running back Gary Quarles Jr. announced his commitment to Southern. He will have one year of eligibility as a graduate transfer for the Jaguars. 

Quarles saw action in 28 games over four seasons for the Bulldogs. He was an integral part of the 2020-21 squad that won the SWAC championship during the spring season. He finished his career at Alabama A&M with 1,619 rushing yards, 17 rushing touchdowns, 392 receiving yards, and 328 return yards. 

Quarles announced his transfer after the 2022 season and initially committed to UNLV. He joins a loaded running back room for the Jaguars as Southern aims to repeat as SWAC West champions. 



Former McNeese QB Cam Ransom Commits To BCU

Former McNeese State quarterback Cam Ransom announced his commitment to Bethune-Cookman. He will have two years of eligibility remaining for the Wildcats. 

Ransom saw action in five games for the Cowboys last season. He finished the year with 45 passing yards and 69 yards rushing. Ransom transferred to McNeese State from Georgia Southern prior to the 2022 season.

He signed with Georgia Southern as a three-star prospect out of Lakeland, Florida. He was ranked as the No. 103 quarterback and No. 218 player in Florida, according to the 247Sports composite rankings. Ransom saw action in eight games for the Eagles and finished the year with 494 passing yards, 113 rushing yards, and three touchdowns. 



Elon LB Bryce Graves Transfers To Samford

Former Elon linebacker Bryce Graves announced his commitment to Samford. He will have two years of eligibility remaining as a graduate transfer for the Bulldogs.

Graves saw action in 27 games over three seasons for the Phoenix. He accounted for 72 total tackles, three tackles for loss, one pass breakup, and one fumble recovery at Elon. 

Graves signed with Elon out of Clayton High School, where he played under former Elon offensive lineman Hunter Jenks. He finished his senior season with 1013 total tackles, eight tackles for loss, 2.5 sacks, and two forced fumbles. He earned All-Conference honors in back-to-back seasons as a junior and senior.
