2024 QB Ty’ray Davis Commits To North Carolina A&T

2024 quarterback Ty’ray Davis announced his commitment to North Carolina A&T. The 6-foot-3, 205-pound quarterback is from Wekiva High School in Apopka, Florida. 

Davis earned All-Metro honors as a junior last season. He finished the season with 1,410 passing yards, seven passing touchdowns, 482 rushing yards, 11.0 yards per carry, and six rushing touchdowns. He helped lead Wekiva to the Class 3M state playoffs and a massive upset of rival Apopka High School.

Davis will join a talented quarterback room that is led by Eli Brickhandler and Zach Yeager. Alston Hooker is also projected to return for the Aggies after the 2023 season. Davis is the first quarterback commitment for new head coach Vincent Brown at North Carolina A&T. 

Idaho Lands 2024 3-Star CB Frankie Edwards III

2024 cornerback Frankie Edwards III announced his commitment to Idaho on Sunday. The 5-foot-11, 165-pound cornerback is from St. John Bosco in Bellflower, California. 

Edwards is the No. 147 cornerback and No. 148 player in the state of California, according to 247Sports. He was named a top performer at the SoCal National Preps Champion Showcase in May and was also selected as a Los Angeles Rams High School All-Star.

Edwards helped lead St. John Bosco to the 2022 MaxPreps national championship as the Braves finished the season 13-1. He finished his junior season with 31 total tackles and two pass breakups. He joins three-star athlete Markhi McKinnon in the Vandals’ 2024 class. 

JSU WR Malachi Wideman Enters NFL Supplemental Draft

Jackson State wide receiver Malachi Wideman has entered the NFL supplemental draft. Wideman originally announced his departure from Jackson State on April 27. 

Wideman led the SWAC in receiving touchdowns in 2021 as he finished the season with 34 receptions for 540 receiving yards and 12 touchdowns. He earned preseason first-team All-SWAC honors in 2022 but only saw action in six games for the Tigers. He finished the 2022 season with three receptions for 49 yards and one touchdown.

Wideman signed with Tennessee out of Venice (Fla.) High School in 2020. He was the No. 117 overall prospect and No. 22 wide receiver, according to the 247Sports composite rankings. He had an explosive senior season with 65 receptions for 1,064 receiving yards and 13 touchdowns. 

2024 All-State QB Kyler Gerardy Commits To NDSU

2024 quarterback Kyler Gerardy announced his commitment to North Dakota State. The 6-foot, 183-pound quarterback is from North Scott High School in Eldridge, Iowa. 

Gerardy led North Scott to a 9-3 record and an appearance in the Class 4A state semifinals. He finished his junior season with 1,645 passing yards, 15 passing touchdowns, 1,217 rushing yards, and 19 rushing touchdowns. He earned first-team All-State, All-Metro, and All-Dsitrict honors. 

Gerardy is projected to make a positional change to safety for the Bison, according to Dom Izzo. He is the eighth commitment in North Dakota State’s 2024 class.
