Sacramento State EDGE Ayodele Adeoye Signs With UIW

Former Sacramento State edge rusher Ayodele Adeoye has signed with Incarnate Word. He will have one year of eligibility remaining for the Cardinals.

Adeoye saw action in all 13 games in his only season for the Hornets. He finished the season with 39 total tackles, four tackles for loss, nine quarterback hurries, and two fumble recoveries. He had a season-high six total tackles against Cal Poly, Weber State, and Idaho. 

Adeoye signed with Texas as a four-star prospect in 2018. He spent four seasons with the Longhorns, appearing in 25 games with 10 starts. He accounted for 57 total tackles, four tackles for loss, and 2.5 sacks over his four seasons. Adeoye earned All-American, All-State, and was a two-time All-Conference selection over his high school career. 



South Dakota State, SLU Schedule Football Series For 2024, 2027

South Dakota State and Southeastern Louisiana have scheduled a home-and-home series for the 2024 and 2027 seasons. The series was first reported by FBSchedules.com via a state public records request. 

The Lions will host South Dakota State at Strawberry Stadium in Hammond, Lousiana. on Sep. 21, 2024. The final game of the two-game series will be hosted at Dana J. Dykhouse Stadium in Brookings, South Dakota on Sep. 18, 2027. 

South Dakota State leads the all-time series 2-0 over Southeastern Louisiana. The Jackrabbits defeated the Lions 31-14 in Hammond in 2012 and 34-26 in Brookings in 2013. 



Southern Illinois LB Jakari Patterson Transfers To Towson

Former Southern Illinois linebacker Jakari Patterson announced his commitment to Towson. He will have three years of eligibility remaining for the Tigers.

Patterson saw action in 19 games over four seasons for the Salukis. He had a breakout season in 2021 as he finished the season with 35 total tackles, three tackles for loss, one interception, and five pass breakups in only nine games. He recorded a career-high 10 tackles against Northern Iowa before missing the next four games with injury.

Patterson signed with Southern Illinois out of Colerain High School in 2019. He earned first-team All-Greater Miami Conference and second-team All-District honors as a senior. He finished his high school career 36-6 and helped lead Colerain to a top-15 ranking in 2018. Patterson accounted for 167 total tackles, 16 pass breakups, seven interceptions, and four touchdowns over his four seasons. 



Illinois State DB Braden Price Commits To Rhode Island

Former Illinois State defensive back Braden Price announced his commitment to Rhode Island. He will have two years of eligibility remaining for the Rams.

Price saw action in 20 games in three seasons for the Redbirds. His best season was in 2021 as he finished top-10 on the team with 34 total tackles. He finished the season with 34 tackles, two interceptions, two sacks, three tackles for loss, and four pass breakups. Price had a career-high seven tackles and two interceptions against Butler in the season-opener. 

Price signed with Illinois State in 2019 out of Wheeling Central Catholic High School. He earned first-team All-State honors as a running back during his senior season. He helped lead Wheeling Central to back-to-back state championships and earned second-team All-State honors as a junior.
