2024 3-Star WR Tony Harste Commits To Idaho

2024 wide receiver Tony Harste announced his commitment to Idaho on Tuesday. The 6-foot, 165-pound wide receiver is from Emerald Ridge High School in Puyallup, Washington. He committed to the Vandals over offers from Eastern Washington and Portland State. 

Harste ranks as the No. 253 wide receiver and No. 37 player in the state of Washington, according to 247Sports. Haste is a two-time All-League selection and earned first-team All-State honors in 2022. He has recorded 139 receptions for 1,884 receiving yards, and 22 touchdowns over the past two seasons.

Harste had an explosive junior season as he finished with 80 receptions for 1,166 receiving yards, and 13 receiving touchdowns. He joins three-star Kage Repenn as wide receiver commits in the 2024 class for the Vandals.



3-Star QB Jake Schakel Commits To Eastern Washington

2024 quarterback Jake Schakel announced his commitment to Eastern Washington. The 6-foot-2, 194-pound quarterback is from Emerald Ridge High School in Puyallup, Washington. He committed to the Eagles over offers from Colorado State, Florida Atlantic, and Nevada. 

Schakel is the No. 81 quarterback and No. 20 player in the state of Washington, according to the 247Sports composite. He is the highest-ranked quarterback and third-highest overall commit in Eastern Washington history. 

Schakel finished his junior season with 3,287 passing yards, 37 passing touchdowns, and completed 72.9% of his passes. He was named the 4A SPSL co-Offensive Player of the Year and earned first-team All-State honors. He helped lead the Jaguars to the Class 4A semifinals in 2022. 



Murray State Lands Commitment From 2024 LB Sanders Ellis

2024 linebacker Sanders Ellis announced his commitment to Murray State. The 6-foot-3, 230-pound linebacker is from Station Camp High School in Gallatin, Tennessee. 

Ellis had a massive junior season for Station Camp as he recorded 107 total tackles, 12 tackles for loss, one sack, and two interceptions. He has earned All-State honors in back-to-back seasons. He finished his sophomore season with 72 total tackles, 11 tackles for loss, two fumble recoveries, and one forced fumble.

Ellis committed to the Racers over offers from Tennessee State, Austin Peay, Eastern Kentucky, and UT Martin. He could fit multiple roles for the Racers, but projects as an edge rusher with some potential to develop into a solid inside linebacker. 



Old Dominion DB Alhaji Kamara Transfers To Maine

Former Old Dominion defensive back Alhaji Kamara announced his transfer to Maine on Monday. He will have three years of eligibility remaining for the Black Bears.

Kamara played two seasons at Old Dominion but did not see any action for the Monarchs. The 6-foot, 182-pound cornerback is from Hermitage High School in Richmond, Virginia. 

Kamara played defensive back and wide receiver at Hermitage. He earned first-team All-Region and All-Metro honors as a senior. He finished the season with six interceptions, 21 receptions, 357 receiving yards, and eight touchdowns.
