New Mexico WR Duke Miller Transfers To Alcorn State

Former New Mexico wide receiver Duke Miller announced his commitment to Alcorn State on Wednesday. Miller will have three years of eligibility remaining for the Braves.

Before signing with New Mexico, Miller was a standout at East Mississippi Community College. He earned second-team All-MACCC honors as a sophomore in 2022. As a sophomore, Miller finished the season with 57 receptions for 622 receiving yards and six touchdowns. His 57 receptions ranked second in the country at the JUCO level. 

He finished his two seasons at East Mississippi CC with 72 receptions for 902 receiving yards and 10 touchdowns. 

Idaho LB Paul Moala Enters Transfer Portal

Idaho linebacker Paul Moala announced his entry into the transfer portal on Wednesday. Moala will have one year of eligibility remaining. 

Moala finished his only season at Idaho with 61 total tackles, seven tackles for loss, two sacks, four interceptions and five pass breakups. He earned second-team Bluebloods Big Sky All-Conference honors. 

Moala transferred to Idaho from Notre Dame prior to the 2022 season. Over his first two seasons for the Fighting Irish, Moala saw action in 19 games and finished his career with 22 total tackles. 

Elon LB/DB Marcus Hillman Receiving NFL Draft Interest

Former Elon linebacker and defensive back Marcus Hillman is receiving interest from multiple NFL franchises before the 2023 NFL draft. Hillman had drawn interest from the Buccaneers, Chargers, 49ers, Bills, Rams, Dolphins, Ravens and Browns according to MLFootball

Hillman earned unanimous first-team FCS All-American honors and finished fourth in voting for the Buck Buchanan Award last season. He finished the season with 83 total tackles, 18.5 tackles for loss, 8.5 sacks and four forced fumbles. Hillman also earned first-team CAA All-Conference honors in 2022. 

Hillman would be the first player from Elon to be selected in the NFL draft since Olisaemeka Udoh in 2019. He would be the 13th player in Elon history to be selected in the NFL draft. 

Jackson State WR Trevonte Rucker Enters Transfer Portal

Jackson State wide receiver Trevonte Rucker announced his entry into the transfer portal on Wednesday. Rucker will have two years of eligibility remaining. 

Rucker had an outstanding true freshman season for the Tigers as he ranked third on the team in receiving yards. He finished the season with 26 receptions for 515 receiving yards, two touchdowns and averaged 19.8 yards per catch. Last season Rucker only saw action in five games and finished the year with five receptions for 49 yards and one touchdown.

He signed with Jackson State as a four-star recruit out of Vanguard High School in 2021. Rucker was an Ocala Star-Banner first-team All-County selection in 2019. He earned first-team All-Country honors in 2018 as the starting quarterback after leading Vanguard to an undefeated regular season.
