Davin Wilson Jr. Announces Entry Into Transfer Portal

Former Southern Utah defensive back Davin Wilson Jr. announced his entry into the transfer portal on April 18. He will have two years of eligibility remaining at his new program. 

Wilson transferred to Southern Utah from Bowling Green. He played in nine games last season for the Thunderbirds and finished the season with four interceptions. Wilson had a season-high five tackles against Sam Houston State. 

He earned Bluebloods second-team WAC All-Conference honors last season. 

Former Central Arkansas QB Taking Official Visit To Southern

Former Central Arkansas quarterback Clifton McDowell announced he will take an official visit to Southern on April 28. McDowell announced his transfer from Central Arkansas on April 6 and will have two years of eligibility remaining. 

McDowell signed with Central Arkansas after playing at Kilgore College in 2021. He transferred to Kilgore after playing two seasons at Louisiana-Lafayette. He finished his career with the Bears with three total touchdowns. 

In high school, McDowell was named the 16-6A District MVP as a senior after totaling 1,820 passing yards, 1,330 rushing yards and 37 total touchdowns. He was a three-star recruit according to 247Sports. 

Campbell LB Justice Galloway-Velazquez Enters Transfer Portal

Former Campbell linebacker Justice Galloway-Velazquez announced his transfer on Thursday. He entered the portal as a graduate transfer after missing two consecutive seasons (2020-21) due to injury.

He had a breakout season for the Camels in 2019, earning first-team Big South All-Conference honors and being named a HERO Sports Sophomore FCS All-American. Velazquez finished the season with 111 total tackles, 7.5 tackles for loss, three sacks, and one interception. 

As a true freshman in 2018, he finished the year with 24 tackles, two tackles for loss, one sack, and two fumble recoveries. 

Texas State OL Silas Robinson Transfers To Incarnate Word

Former Texas State offensive lineman Silas Robinson announced his transfer to Incarnate Word. Robinson transferred to Texas State after signing with Arkansas out of high school.

Silas played in six games for the Razorbacks in 2019 as a redshirt freshman. At Texas State, Silas played in 14 games over two seasons for the Bobcats, including four starts in 2021. In high school, Silas earned first-team All-State honors twice and recorded 111 knockdown blocks without allowing a sack throughout his junior season. 

Robinson is a major addition for the Cardinals who will be replacing four starters on the offensive line entering the 2023 season.
