FCS Football: 2023 SWAC Media Day Central

The 2023 FCS football is quickly approaching as the time for media days has finally arrived. The SWAC media day was held on July 25 in Birmingham, Alabama.

The conference had four representatives on the Bluebloods 2023 FCS Preseason All-American Team, led by second-team selection Alabama State linebacker Colton Adams. 

Florida A&M and Southern enter the season as the favorites to meet in the SWAC Championship next season. Coaches and SIDs voted on the preseason predicted order of finish for the 2023 season. The full results are listed below.

SWAC East

  1. Florida A&M, 116 points (16 first-place votes)
  2. Jackson State, 94 (2)
  3. Alabama State, 80 (2)
  4. Alabama A&M, 73 (2)
  5. Mississippi Valley State, 35 (2)

SWAC West

  1. Southern, 122 points (13)
  2. Alcorn State, 94 (6)
  3. Texas Southern, 73 (1)
