The Director of Athletics at North Dakota State Matt Larsen joined the show today to talk the latest news surrounding the Bison. Larsen stepped into his role at North Dakota State in 2014 and has been an integral part in increasing North Dakota State’s athletic budget from $18 million to almost $25 million. He was also recognized as the Under Armour FCS Athletics Director of the Year in 2018-19.
Larsen spoke with Zach McKinnell of The Bluebloods about the keys to building the North Dakota State athletic budget and looked back at the transition from head coach Chris Klieman to current head coach Matt Entz.
We also addressed the struggles for the Bison to schedule Power-5 out of conference games due to the recent success and the potential move from FCS to FBS for North Dakota State as conference realignment continues throughout college football.
