FCS Football: Highest Graded Returning Tight Ends In 2023

We utilized the Pro Football Focus (PFF) database and grading system to take a look at the highest-graded returning tight ends across FCS football entering the 2023 season.

Each player’s PFF Grade represents their overall offensive grade from the 2022 season, including postseason games. Tight ends who played 20% of the minimum number of snaps were included in the rankings below. All rankings and statistics were gathered using the Pro Football Focus database.

1. Marshel Martin (Sacramento State)

PFF Offensive Grade: 88.4

2022 Statistics: 63 receptions, 875 receiving yards, 13.9 yards per reception, 12 receiving touchdowns

2. Alex Allen (Northern Iowa)

PFF Offensive Grade: 87.7

2022 Statistics: 17 receptions, 264 receiving yards, 15.5 yards per reception, 2 receiving touchdowns

3. Shawn Bowman (Maine)

PFF Offensive Grade: 77.4

2022 Statistics: 31 receptions, 377 receiving yards, 12.2 yards per reception, 5 receiving touchdowns

4. Owen Glascoe (Long Island)

PFF Offensive Grade: 75.6

5. Matt Robbert (Cornell)
