Former Kansas State All-American Transfers To Delaware

Former Kansas State wide receiver Joshua Youngblood announced his commitment to Delaware. He will have one year of eligibility remaining as a graduate transfer for the Blue Hens. 

Youngblood immediately made an impact as a true freshman for the Wildcats in 2019. He was named the Big-12 Special Teams Player of the Year and earned second-team FWAA All-American honors. He finished the season with over 500 return yards and three return touchdowns. 

Youngblood transferred to Rutgers prior to the 2021 season and saw action in 18 games for the Scarlet Knights. He totaled 12 receptions for 126 receiving yards and one touchdown over two seasons at Rutgers. 

JUCO DB Kendrick Stone Commits To Incarnate Word

Former Iowa Western defensive back Kendrick Stone Jr. announced his commitment to Incarnate Word on Tuesday. He will have three years of eligibility remaining for the Cardinals. 

Stone finished his redshirt freshman season with 20 total tackles, 4.5 tackles for loss, one interception, and one pass breakup. He helped lead Iowa Western to the 2022 NCJAA National Championship with a 31-0 win over Hutchinson Community College. 

UT Martin Names New Defensive Coordinator For 2023

UT Martin promoted linebackers coach Brandon Butcher to defensive coordinator for the 2023 season. Former defensive coordinator Chris Polizzi resigned to accept the same position at Tulsa. 

Butcher has been at UT Martin since 2020 and has served in multiple different capacities over his time with the Skyhawks. He most recently served as the linebackers coach and the defensive run-game coordinator. He also served a role coaching special teams during his tenure at UT Martin.

Butcher has helped the Skyhawks win back-to-back OVC championships in 2021-22. He also developed FCS All-American linebacker and the OVC Defensive Player of the Year John Ford II. Butcher spent time at Southern Miss, Coastal Carolina, and East Carolina before joining the staff at UT Martin.

Campbell LB Justice Galloway-Velaquez Transfers To NSU

Former Campbell linebacker Justice Galloway-Velaquez announced his commitment to Northwestern State. Galloway entered the portal on April 19 as a graduate transfer. 

He had a breakout season for the Camels in 2019, earning first-team Big South All-Conference honors and being named a HERO Sports Sophomore FCS All-American. Velazquez finished the season with 111 total tackles, 7.5 tackles for loss, three sacks, and one interception. 

As a true freshman in 2018, he finished the year with 24 tackles, two tackles for loss, one sack, and two fumble recoveries.
