2024 LB Stiles Guidry Commits To Southeastern Louisiana

2024 linebacker Stiles Guidry announced his commitment to Southeastern Louisiana. The 6-foot-1, 240-pound linebacker is from Oak Forest Academy in Amite, Louisiana. 

Guidry was named the MAIS Defensive Player of the Year and first-team All-MAIS honors. He finished the season with 85 total tackles, seven tackles for loss, seven sacks, and one interception. He helped lead Oak Forest to the first MAIS championship since 2014 last season.

Guidry also played running back and totaled 895 rushing yards, 10.4 yards per carry, and 12 rushing touchdowns. He finished his sophomore season with 78 total tackles, three tackles for loss, and five sacks.



Norfolk State DB Pierre Royster Signs With Saint Francis

Former Norfolk State defensive back Pierre Royster has signed with Saint Francis. He will have two years of eligibility remaining for the Red Flash.

Royster played two seasons at Saint Francis, seeing action in 17 games. He finished last season with 31 total tackles, two tackles for loss, one sack, and one pass breakup. He recorded a career-high seven tackles against Delaware State and Howard in back-to-back weeks. 

Royster signed with Norfolk State out of Lake Taylor High School in Norfolk, Virginia. He earned first-team All-State honors as a senior. He finished the season with 43 total tackles and six interceptions in only nine games. 



JUCO DB Chandler Brown Commits To Portland State

Fullerton College defensive back Chandler Brown announced his commitment to Portland State. He will have three years of eligibility remaining for the Vikings.

Brown finished the 2021 season with 53 total tackles, four fumble recoveries, and one interception. He earned second-team All-Conference honors as a true freshman. He had a career-high 12 tackles and one interception against Golden West in 2021. 

Brown led Fullerton to the Patriotic Bowl against Mt. San Antonio College. He was named a preseason JUCO All-American but missed the 2022 season due to injury.



Butte DL Lathun Snipes Commits To Tennessee State

Butte College defensive lineman Lathun Snipes announced his commitment to Tennessee State. He will have two years of eligibility remaining for the Tigers.

Snipes played two seasons at Butte, seeing action in 19 games. He finished his freshman season with 23 total tackles, 3.5 sacks, 4.5 tackles for loss, and one pass breakup. He recorded a career-high seven tackles, 0.5 sacks, and 1.5 tackles for loss. 

Snipes followed up his freshman season with 25 total tackles, four tackles for loss, and one pass breakup. He had a season-high five total tackles, 1.5 tackles for loss, and one pass breakup.
