Larkin is a 3-star prospect out of Naperville, IL and ranks as a Top-45 prospect in the state of Illinois in the class of 2023. The 6-foot, 180-pound prospect ranks as a Top-180 ATH in the country. Larkin is a two-way player for Neuqua Valley and has played wide receiver, running back, safety, and special teams throughout his high school career. Larkin totaled over 800 all-purpose yards, 40 receptions, 6 touchdowns, 9 tackles, and 2 sacks in his junior season last year.

Larkin announced his commitment to North Dakota State over other programs including Army, Akron, Austin Peay, Eastern Illinois, and South Dakota State. He joins 3-star Beau Johnson and 2-star Josh Hendricks in North Dakota State’s 2023 recruiting class. Larkin told Dom Izzo at WDAY-TV that being able to visit Fargo, ND and speak with current players, including 1st Team FCS All-American Michael Tutsie, about the North Dakota State culture helped him make a final decision. Larkin is projected to play on the defensive side of the ball for North Dakota State at the safety spot.

The 2023 recruiting class looks promising for North Dakota State and the Bison are in contention for multiple other top high school prospects. The Bison will look to win their 10th FCS Championship this upcoming season and will open the 2022 season against Drake on September 3rd in the Fargodome.
